GOSHEN - Trial dates were shifted Thursday for two homicide cases in Orange County Court:

The manslaughter case against Linda Ibrahim of Cornwall in a hit-and-run crash that killed Eric Geter Sr. in January 2014 in New Windsor was slated for jury selection to start on Aug. 15. On Thursday, Chief Assistant District Attorney Christopher Borek told Judge Robert Freehill that said he learned that several of the witnesses in the Ibrahim case will be away that week, and he asked the judge to move the trial date to Aug. 22.

Ibrahim's lawyer, Benjamin Ostrer, noted that the second-degree murder trial of another of his clients, David Carlson, was set to start on Sept. 15, also before Judge Freehill. Carlson faces the charge in the 2013 shooting of Norris Acosta-Sanchez, a Westchester County man who was wanted for second-degree rape.

"We'll correspondingly adjourn the Carlson case," Freehill told him.

Ibrahim's trial will now start on Aug. 22, and Carlson's on Sept. 22.
