EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14) — An unidentified body was pulled out of a canal that runs along the Rio Grande River.
Border Patrol and Socorro police spotted a body in the canal Thursday around 8:30 a.m.
When the El Paso Water Rescue arrived they saw that a body was wedged at the canal Zaragoza head gate, said El Paso spokesman Carlos Briano.
The El Paso Water Rescue Team entered the canal and pulled the unidentified man's body out of the water, said an El Paso fire official.
A total of six units and 15 personnel from the El Paso Fire Department responded to this incident. El Paso police, U.S. Border Patrol and Rio Grande El Paso County Water Improvement District assisted in this incident
