There are calendars out there for whatever tickles your fancy—inspirational quotes, sleeping babies, outhouses, dogs doing yoga...Seriously, they make calendars about everything.
And now there’s a new one to add to the list: men who love Bernie Sanders.
The “Men Who Bern” 2016 calendar features dudes showing their support for the presidential candidate via Bernie tanks, campaign stickers, Bernie mugs, and even a Bernie angel on top of the Christmas tree, placed by a guy in tight red undies (because why not?).
Some are shirtless, some aren’t, and the images contain messages like “only you can rebuild the crumbling infrastructure of my heart” and “there is nothing, nothing, NOTHING, that we cannot accomplish in bed.” But the underlying message is the same—they dig Bernie Sanders.
Calendar creator Joe Beuerlein tells WomensHealthMag.com that he came up with the idea in order to raise funds for Sanders and “make Bernie supporters smile.”
He points out that the calendar, which isn’t directly affiliated with Sanders’ campaign, is also functional: It includes dates for the Democratic primary and caucus, so you can keep track of what’s coming up next in the political world.
For legal reasons, funds raised from the calendar won’t go directly to the campaign; however, it will raise money for a grassroots organization in New York to help the senator win his home state.
