RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — Former State Senator and Assemblyman Coe Swobe passed away Thursday at the age of 87.
Swobe served in the Nevada State Legislature for more than 10 years. He was first elected to the Assembly in 1962 and then became a member of the Senate in 1966, serving until 1974.
Swobe helped form the Tahoe Regional Transportation Agency in 1969 while serving in the senate.
He died of liver failure, according to CarsonNow.
