What’s the most popular place in the world to take a selfie?

CNN  —

With news that several prominent New York museums have banned the use of selfie sticks – those loved/hated devices that allow you to take photos of yourself without your arm being in the photo – hitting headlines last week, one could be forgiven for asking “do people actually take selfies in museums?”

Fortunately, according to a new list released by Attractiontix.co.uk, it appears most world travelers prefer to whip out their “narcis-sticks” at tall buildings and theme parks as opposed to venerable cultural centers.

The UK-based ticket booking site analyzed 219 million Instagram posts tagged “selfie” between October 2010 and January 2015 to come up with the list. The Eiffel Tower emerged as the clear winner, generating more than 10,700 pics.

(Only posts that mentioned specific attractions were counted.)

Coming in at second is Disney World in Florida, followed by Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.

Here’s the full list of top global selfie sites.

1. Eiffel Tower, Paris (10,700)
