Let me tell you something about the Lamborghini Huracan: It is very quick. At stock, it’s impressive enough, but the folks at Underground Racing tuned one up with a twin turbo kit to bring it up to damn near 3,000 horsepower. The team claims they make the fastest street-legal Lamborghinis in the world, and after they set a new world record with their tricked-out Lambo, we’re inclined to believe them.

Their 5.2-liter V-10 just topped out at 250 mph in just a quarter mile at a North Carolina airstrip, according to The Drive. For perspective, Underground Racing also tested out a tuned Audi R8 V10 Plus that only managed to hit 244.8 mph in the same distance, making it a piece of crap, really.

The man behind the wheel Gidi Chamdi, a man with penchant for setting world records. Just last summer he set the world record for a half-mile by hitting 240 mph with a Lamborghini Gallardo tuned by Underground Racing. In September a Huracan hit 247 mph, only to be bested by a Nissan GT-R hitting 248 mph just two months ago. So in stepped Chamdi to take back his record in the Huracan, raising the bar 10 mph in less than a year.

If you’re not drooling enough already, check out video of the speed feat below.
