Earn Your Master’s Degree to Shape the World of Hospitality

Time Length of the MMH Program
One Year, Full-Time in Person
Two Year including International Classes and Internship
The MMH curriculum consists of 32 credits (8 courses) and one experiential-based hospitality work experience. Full-time students will complete the program in two full semesters and one summer work experience. Students will complete four (4) required core courses and four (4) elective courses.
Core courses are taught in the fall semester, and electives are reserved for the spring. Our variety of elective courses give students the ability to specialize and also complete one of six optional concentrations, which are based on current hospitality industry needs and trends.
Concentrations are noted on students’ transcripts and can be earned through completion of 3 specific electives during the spring semester. Concentrations are optional and do not add any time or cost onto the MMH degree.
Students may also complete the MMH program on a part-time basis. Our evening course offerings support working and part-time students in completing their degree. Most part-time students take one or two courses per semester and finish the program in about two years.
Restaurant Management and Experiences Concentration
The Restaurant Management & Experience concentration puts an emphasis on hands-on experience and business innovation. It not only provides students with a solid knowledge base of hospitality operations and food and beverage management but also empowers them with entrepreneurial skills. Studying under esteemed faculty members who have years of experience in hospitality and restaurant management, you can learn to develop novel solutions, design transformative business models, leverage new technologies, and apply feasible strategies to establish a thriving future for the restaurant industry. Digital Marketing Concentration
Today, nearly all trips are researched, planned, and booked in the digital sphere. As such, hotels, resorts, and other hospitality entities need digital marketing professionals that not only harness these evolving habits but further utilize them to improve business, customer satisfaction, and profits. Courses in this concentration blend the role’s key communication, critical thinking, and technical skills while instructing students on targeting customer segments, using the latest tools, and developing campaigns. Innovation and Entrepreneurship Concentration
In recent years, the hospitality industry has undergone some of the most dramatic changes in history—from the shift to mobile booking to the introduction of online travel marketplaces like Airbnb to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Facing these challenges, the hospitality industry is in need of entrepreneurial solutions to create a new landscape for the future. Courses in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship concentration are designed to develop students’ critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills so that they can create viable solutions to new challenges. Revenue Management and Analytics Concentration
The amount of data available to businesses—in hospitality and beyond—has surged over the past two decades. Revenue managers and analysts help organize and make sense of this information to assist in streamlining operations, bringing in more guests, and ultimately improving profits; for these reasons, the hospitality industry has no shortage of roles. This career-tailored concentration mixes traditional with newer methodologies, covering advanced analytics, forecasting strategies, digital marketing techniques, and risk assessment within the context of solving operational issues and improving revenue. Real Estate Development and Finance Concentration
A hotel, restaurant, or resort is never just a building—it’s an experience that exists alone yet meshes seamlessly with the surrounding destination. This MMH concentration examines hospitality real estate from this modern and increasingly globalized angle, touching on operational and investment subject areas in the process. Throughout all courses, students develop their financial, project management, risk assessment, and analytical skills to predict future investment performance and manage a property in house or as part of a larger real estate portfolio.
