Good things happen to good people, and Tempur Sealy knows the Palmers are great people.

A Facebook photo of a man sleeping under his son's crib at York Hospital has gone viral on social media.

After a photo of Andre Palmer sleeping under his son's crib at WellSpan York Hospital went viral on social media, the people at Tempur Sealy decided to help out the York City family. The Palmers are getting brand-new mattresses from the company in the next month.

"The bed we have right now is 30 years old," said Amy Palmer, who shared the photo of her husband on Facebook July 5.

Brooke Trusty, social marketing manager for Tempur Sealy, said the company was excited to be a part of the family's story and help out in a small way.

"The last thing they need to think about is how they're going to get adequate sleep," Trusty said. "As a company, it's really our mission to support families. We want to be able to give back where we can."

Each member of the family is getting a Sealy Posturpedic Premier Hybrid bed and a Sealy pillow, Trusty said.

Amy Palmer said she couldn't believe how many people have shared the photo and shared their own similar stories. She said her husband did the selfless act because he's a great father to their children.

"He could have went home after work, he could have asked me to get up," she wrote in another update on Facebook. "He was literally exhausted himself! I didn't leave him there, I quickly got him up into the bed/chair I was sleeping in, but not before taking the picture that I felt spoke volumes about the good person, husband, and father he truly is."

About the photo going viral, Amy Palmer said she was amazed at the support she and her family have received via social media.

"I would have never imagined that it would have touched so many people," she wrote.

Tempur Sealy donates around 30,000 beds each year and partners with both the Ronald McDonald House and the American Cancer Society to distribute some beds.
