A Brazilian cosmetic surgeon known as Dr Bumbum has fled after a procedure to enhance the size of a woman’s buttocks led to her death, according to police.
Denis Furtado is alleged to have been treating a 46-year-old patient with an acrylic glass filler in a Rio de Janeiro apartment when he noticed that her condition was deteriorating.
Dr Furtado, who has appeared on television and has his own YouTube channel and hundreds of thousands of Instagram followers, took Lilian Calixto to hospital. She was suffering from a racing heartbeat and hypertension and died after four heart attacks, it is claimed.
Mrs Calixto, a married mother of two who worked in banking, had travelled from the city of Cuiaba, in central Brazil, to have the
