When Kim Kardashian does anything, people notice. And when she dresses up like iconic former first lady Jackie Kennedy, they really, really pay attention.
Kim appears on the new cover of Interview magazine with her daughter North by her side above the headline, “America’s New First Lady.” In the photo, Kim’s hair is styled like Jackie Kennedy's in a blown-out bob, and she’s wearing elbow-length white gloves and high-necked shift dress. North is adorable, as always, in pigtails and a cute dress with white socks. The photo is drawing obvious visual comparisons between Kim and the beloved former First Lady.

Reactions to the shoot on social media are mixed. Some people loved it…
…while others really, really didn’t appreciate the comparison with Jackie Kennedy.
In the interview, Kim pokes fun at the origin of her fame and her reputation, telling writer Janet Mock that her success is “not bad for a girl with no talent.” She also talked about a lot of different things in the interview, including the fact that she usually goes to her husband Kanye West for advice about her brand, life, and image, but goes to her friend, publicist Tracy Nguyen Romulus, for other advice. Also, if Kim wasn’t a reality TV star, she says she would be a publicist. “I feel like that’s my job for the family sometimes, at least the crisis part of it,” she says.

The timing of the interview and shoot is interesting, given that Taylor Swift, who Kim has battled in public in the past, just dropped a new single “Look What You Made Me Do,” which is about her ongoing feud with the Kardashian-West clan.
Kim ended the interview on this note, which seems to be addressed to her haters: “You can say a lot of things about me, but you cannot say I don’t work hard. I don’t sing. I don’t dance. I don’t act. But I am not lazy.”
