Telework is perceived to increase productivity, secure retention, strengthen organizational commitment, and to improve performance within the organization. We should have more telework positions available for our employees or if they work administrative give them out that option.

When someone is released from the hospital (example Brooke Army Med.) for Mental health. What treatment is available for these soldiers? And why aren’t the treatments available at adequate hours?
It becomes more challenging for a soldier to have to complete treatment (basic therapy sessions) when they’re asked to miss class. Are there options for them to keep a normal schedule? If not why not ? If there are options are these communicated to each soldier having these problems? Thanks

All of the Dell Latitude tablets have defective batteries. The batteries have died and the tablet instantly shuts down if it is disconnected. Additionally, the batteries swell and cause the monitor screen to separate. When we ask IMD about getting a new battery, they tell us they don't have any. It is very cumbersome or impossible to bring the tablet to other locations for presentations, meetings, or rounding with inpatient teams. Is anyone doing anything about this?
Thank you for your help.

All of the treadmills have been removed from the outdoor gym on the first floor of the hospital. I realize that we have access to the Ft Sam gym, but having treadmills in the hospital was convenient and a huge time saver. Not to mention it significantly increased the odds of me running after work, even on days I worked late. Running is required for the fitness test and I know we would all appreciate access to treadmills in the hospital.

Thank you for listening!

What treatments are being made available to dependents if they test positive for COVID, struggling with symptoms, but not bad enough to be admitted to BAMC? Infusions, other IV or oral medications, beyond providers simply suggesting OTC medications and home remedies? Where can one access this care if it’s being offered? Hopefully not just via the ER…can the provider prescribe these at their discretion or is there a set standard of care that is followed in these instances?

Why aren’t there any military PCMs available for retirees and retiree family members at any of the following: BANC, Moreno Clinic nor Camp Bullis? How can a family member go from having a military PCM one week while sponsor is on active duty to none available when sponsor retires??

Same issue with dependents who “age out” of coverage under sponsor’s Tricare Prime @ age 23 or upon college graduation. My daughter was booted from Schertz Medical Home when she aged out & started paying out of pocket for Tricare Young Adult last December. One day she was fine to be seen at the clinic, the next they said there was “no room” for her there or any MTF clinic, so now she is out in the community (but still in network for Tricare), but has to incur co-pays because she cannot access any MTF services beyond the ER & pharmacy (if the community provider is willing to give her a printed rx). If there’s only room for and you can only support active duty and their qualifying family members on Prime, just say so. Instead of insinuating that there is medical care accessible to retirees, those on Tricare Select or Tricare YA. Kind of misleading to think we’ll be taken care of once retired when we actually will have to “figure it out” on our own.

These questions were not answered during the Town Hall. This seems to be the status quo for this subject. Inquiries about military PCMs for recent retirees have been routinely ignored by BANC, DHA and TRICARE. The seamless transition was obviously a hollow promise.

Why is it that a person has to have a symptom of Covid-19 to get a Covid Test at the BAMC Garage? I was told one CANNOT get a Test merely for Emotional well-being by a medic without conferring with a health professional. BTW, I am a retired ARMY RN with over 45 years' experience.
