We've all been there! You move into a new house or apartment, and while overall you love your space, when it comes to your kitchen — specifically those cabinets — you're a little less than enamored.

Well, enter Karen E. Laine and Mina Starsiak, the mother-daughter duo behind HGTV's home renovation show "Good Bones," who have a ridiculously easy fix to the problem.

"Let's say you buy a house that you love, but the kitchen cabinets are really dated," says Mina. "Give them some character by painting them white."

But the real pièce de résistance? Adding beadboard wallpaper right in the middle, which will instantly give your cabinets a farmhouse look.
