Around 50,000 runners made the 26.2-mile journey from Staten Island to Central Park on Sunday, November 4, for the 2018 New York City Marathon. Along with the large crowd of dedicated runners, a group of famous individuals raced alongside them. Here’s how some of the biggest names did.

Nev Schulman

Schulamn is best known for his 2010 documentary Catfish and the follow-up MTV series by the same name. Schulman made his marathon debut in 2015 at the New York City Marathon where he ran a 3:34:31—which made him the fastest celebrity to cross the finish line that year. This year, he finished in 2:58:54.

Daniel Humm

The Swiss chef is co-owner of 2017’s World’s Best Restaurant, Eleven Madison Park. He finished in 3:10:32.

Nick Youngquest

Youngquest is an Australian model and former professional rugby league footballer. He finished in 3:25:09.

Brian d’Arcy James

The actor is known for his roles on Broadway and on the big screen in movies such as Spotlight and Ghost Town. He finished in 3:31:46.

Dan Churchill

The celebrity chef is regularly featured on Good Morning America, ABC’s The Chew, and The Food Network. He finished in 3:32:58.

Michael Chernow

The 37-year-old co-owns the successful New York City franchise The Meatball Shop and seafood-centric restaurant Seamore’s. He is running to benefit City Harvest. He finished in 3:46:28.

Tiki Barber

The former NFL player is the all-time rushing leader for the New York Giants and cohost of CBS Sports Radio’s afternoon show. He is also an avid runner in the New York area. He finished in 4:44:47.

Erin Hamlin

This is the first marathon for the Olympic luger who won bronze at the 2014 Sochi Winter Games and competed in three other Olympics as well. She finished in 4:52:52.

Teri Hatcher


The Desperate Housewives star returns to the marathon for the first time since 2015, when she ran a 5:03. This time, she took on the race with her daughter, and finished in 5:51:21.
