ABC 7 Amarillo has launched an all-new state-of-the-art website to complete its entire news re-branding and overhaul.

The all-new ABC7Amarillo.com is a completely responsive website meaning the size of the page adapts to whatever size screen a user is on. It is compatible on all devices.

ABC 7's powerhouse team of journalists have been working around the clock to get trained on the new site. With the new site, it's easier than ever before for the news team to update breaking news.

"It's a new day at ABC 7 News and today marks the beginning of something the Amarillo market has never seen," said Assistant News Director Travis Ruiz who spearheaded the migration to the new site. "Continuous news is our mission and with this new platform, our team of talented multimedia journalists continues to lead the charge."

The rollout of the new website also includes live streaming of all of the ABC 7 News newscasts. Social media will also be more heavily integrated to the content on the site.

"ABC 7 is so much more than a TV station," said ABC 7 General Manager Laura Wolf. "We are a multifaceted media powerhouse dedicated to informing the community. Our new website further amplifies our commitment to our audience."

The website also opens the door for new advertising opportunities.

A completely redesigned and updated app also comes along with the website. The app is available for both iOS and Android devices.

ABC7Amarillo.com, formerly known as ConnectAmarillo.com, is the market leader for online news. Page views in recent months have nearly tripled year-to-year totals, marking a true shift in news consumption in the Panhandles.

Favorites carried over to the site include SchoolNET and the ABC 7 Scanner. New features to the weather page include an interactive radar available on all devices.

"Informing our audience is our number one priority," said News Director Ryan Hazelwood. "With the website's rollout and our recently revamped broadcast news product, we will continue to be the market leader."
