In the video above, Men’s Health Fitness Director BJ Gaddour demonstrates a standing banded chest press. The band creates constant tension throughout the movement, activating all of your muscle fibers and stimulating growth. Your pecs will burn, especially as you push your arms to lock out every rep.

Now, here’s where the cardio portion comes into play. Gaddour wants you to crank out high-speed reps for 20-seconds clips for 4 minutes straight. The faster you go, the heavier and thicker that band will feel. Keep up your pace, though, and you’ll be rewarded with buckets of sweat by the end of the workout.
