Moving to a new city is often a stressful process – there’s the search of a place to live, the relocation of possessions and getting any pets acclimated to a new environment.
The latter can be particularly challenging, especially if that pet is an alligator.
According to Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee, Lamar Patterson hopes to bring his pet gator, Pharaoh, with him to his new home in Sacramento. The reptile was gifted to him a few years ago after a trip to Gatorland in Florida.
“Hopefully it’s legal to have the alligator out there, I don’t know,” Patterson said to Jones. “I wasn’t able to bring him to Atlanta because it was illegal, so my mom was watching him, but hopefully California is a little more laid back.”
