Verizon Mobile Protect FAQs

Verizon Mobile Protect consists of Wireless Phone Protection, Verizon Extended Warranty and Mobile Secure. Verizon Mobile Protect includes coverage for loss, theft, damage and post-warranty malfunctions.

Verizon Mobile Protect benefits include:

• Pro On the Go same-day delivery and setup for replacement smartphones and when you buy a new device on verizon.com.
• Unlimited cracked screen repair for select smartphones with a $0 deductible.
  • For NY customers until 8/10/23, cracked screen repair is $29 deductible.
• $99 damage replacement deductible for damage that’s not eligible for cracked screen repair.
  
  • Look up your device's deductible.
• Battery replacement for select smartphones with post-warranty battery issues, at a Verizon-authorized repair facility.
• Data Recovery provides expert-led assistance backing up data. Available at select uBreakiFix® by Asurion or Asurion Tech Repair & Solutions™ locations.
• 24/7 Tech Coach expert support to help optimize your device and connect it to virtually anything else – also available from select smart home speakers.
• 24/7 Security Advisor experts to optimize your digital security and privacy tools and help resolve security vulnerabilities that can impact your personal identity and online privacy.
• Digital security and privacy tools provide ID theft monitoring, secure Wi-Fi, and screening and blocking of robocalls.
• Unlimited device refresh includes deep cleanings and diagnostics to optimize speed, performance and battery life.

Verizon Extended Warranty is a service contract, separate and distinct from any product/service warranty which may be provided by the device manufacturer, and does not extend the term of any such product/service warranty.

To be eligible for Verizon Mobile Protect (single or multi-device) you must enroll within 30 days of one of these events:

• Purchased or upgraded to a new device and activate it on a new or existing line
• Bring your own eligible device* that meets these criteria:
  • Is fully functioning, without damage (including liquid or cracked screens) and free of defects/malfunctions
  • Isn't lost or stolen
  • Is activated on a new line (not an existing line)

Check your eligibility in My Verizon. You're eligible to enroll a line in any Device Protection option listed under Protection and Security.

*Note: When you bring your own device to Verizon, you may be eligible to get device protection for it. Eligibility determined at the point of sale.

The monthly charge for device protection depends on which of these options you select and the number of lines with eligible devices on your account:

• Verizon Mobile Protect (single device coverage):
  • $14 or $17/month depending on device type.
• Verizon Mobile Protect Multi-Device:
  • $60/month per account for 4-20 lines* (3 registrations)
  • $50/month per account for 3 lines* (3 registrations)
  • $34/month per account for 2 lines* (2 registrations)

All applicable taxes and surcharges extra.

Note: In addition to the monthly charge, you pay a deductible for each claim you file. Deductibles vary by device. Check Asurion's website, our brochure or visit www.phoneclaim.com/verizon to learn more.

*In all cases, number of lines refers to lines with eligible devices. Registrations automatically reset after 12 months claim-free.

If your device or account is eligible, you can enroll in Verizon Mobile Protect (or another device protection option) on the Servies & Perks page in My Verizon. You can also enroll at a Verizon store.

Yes. You can choose a different device protection option, or no device protection at all, for each line with an eligible device on your Verizon mobile account. However:

• You can't have the same line enrolled in two 2 different device protection options.
• If you have Verizon Mobile Protect Multi-Device on your account, no individual line can be enrolled in one of our single device protection options.

You can remove Verizon Mobile Protect from your account at any time from the Services & Perks page in My Verizon or you can call or visit a store. You'll receive a prorated refund of your monthly charge.

Important: If you have Verizon Mobile Protect on a line and want to switch to another device protection option, enroll in the new option first. Don't remove Verizon Mobile Protect until you're prompted to do so during the enrollment process.

It could be the case that your device doesn't meet the criteria to get the other option. Be sure to check that the device is eligible before canceling the existing protection.

If you have at least at least 2 but not more than 20 lines* on your account you can choose between:

• Line-level Verizon Mobile Protect (enroll for each line you want to cover).
• Account-level Verizon Mobile Protect Multi-Device (enrollment is based on the number of lines* on your account).

Verizon Mobile Protect Multi-Device coverage automatically adjusts based on the number of lines* on your account:

• $60/month per account for 4-20 lines* (3 registrations)
• $50/month per account for 3 lines* (3 registrations)
• $34/month per account for 2 lines* (2 registrations)

Important: With Verizon Mobile Protect Multi-Device, claims are unlimited per registered line.

When you file a claim (either insurance or post-warranty malfunction) on a line with an eligible device, that line is "registered" for a 12-month period.

• Line registrations automatically reset after 12 months of being claim-free on that line.
• With Verizon Mobile Protect Multi-Device, you can file unlimited claims on each registered line.
  

If you have Verizon Mobile Protect (single or multi-device), here’s how Pro on the Go same day delivery and setup works:

• Insurance replacements - For select smartphones only, you may be eligible Pro on the Go  same-day delivery and setup for an insurance replacement. Availability is subject to claim approval time, inventory, customer location and technician availability.
• New device purchases from Verizon.com - You may be eligible for same day delivery and setup for new device purchases. Availability is subject to device purchase time, inventory, customer location and technician availability. This benefit is also available to Mobile Secure customers.

Device refresh can help improve performance and extend the life of mobile devices. Device refresh is included in Mobile Secure which is part of Verizon Mobile Protect. You can:

• Use the Tech Coach app to refresh your device:
  • Adjust battery-draining settings and apps.
  • Optimize settings and storage to improve device speed.
  • Run diagnostics to find and fix problems.
• Bring your device to an Asurion Tech Repair & Solutions or uBreakiFix by Asurion location:
  • Get unlimited device sanitization and deep-cleaning.
  • Deep cleaning can take up to 3-4 hours. Your device may have to stay overnight.
  • No appointment required.
