I just got a new system in July (used to have their 1st or 2nd generation purchased in 2014). Anyway I wondered how long these entry sensors last, believe in a CR2032 3V battery.   Do you get any warning, or do they just stop working or maybe they say that the door or window is open?  Eit

@diverjer Short answer "it depends on amount of use" but I have entry sensors on 3+ years, but I schedule replacement on my own at 4 years for peace of mind. Note, keypads and external siren is about 6-7 months in my experience.

Hi @diverjer, The Entry Sensor does take a CR-2023 battery, and it has a life expectancy of up to 5 years; but as Captain11 mentioned, this all depends on usage. If an Entry Sensor is constantly being opened every day, its battery may get low faste
